The highlight of the night was of course the unveiling of Patek's Calatrava Pilot Travel Time, a departure from the watchmaker's usually conservative timepieces. Housed in a large format 42mm white gold case, the watch has a unique time-zone function that allows it to display two different times with pin-point accuracy. As well as this, clients had the chance to view other novelties – revealed earlier at Baselworld 2015 – on display, including the Men's Annual Calendar Chronograph and the Ladies' Annual Calendar. Both show the date, the day of the week, and the month and only need to be corrected once a year.

Di suatu siang yang panas, seorang editor buku yang sudah saya kenal, memberi kabar hot.

"Novel Gerimis di Arc de Triomphe ditaksir penerbit Malaysia, Mbak. Kalau Mbak tidak keberatan, mau dialihbahasakan ke bahasa Melayu dan diterbitkan di sana."

Novelnya sudah sampai duluan di Paris.

Saya justru jingkrak-jingkrakan! Novel karya saya yang bersetting di Prancis ini akan diterbitkan di luar negeri? Asyiiikk!

Ini memang bukan kali pertama buku saya dialihbahasakan ke bahasa Melayu. Tapi, Mbak Editor dari Penerbit Bentang Pustaka adalah orang pertama yang memberi kabar secara resmi. Saya tidak hanya senang, tapi juga tersanjung dan tercengang.

Ternyata, novel ini disukai juga oleh penerbit di negeri tetangga. Hasil ini didapat ketika Mbak Editor dan rekan-rekannya mengunjungi Malaysia Book Fair beberapa waktu lalu. Di sanalah novel Gerimis ini "dipinang" oleh Penerbit Terfaktab. (Iya, ini nama penerbitnya. Lucu, ya?).

Sekadar kilas balik, novel Gerimis di Arc de Triomphe terbit di Bentang Pustaka tahun 2013. Beberapa bulan setelah terbit sempat cetak ulang.

Kisah berawal dari Bunga, cewek yang terobsesi melanjutkan kuliah di bidang kuliner. Paris adalah kota yang dipilih, karena, selain ingin belajar tentang kuliner di negeri asalnya, Bunga juga ingin dekat dengan Darel cowok yang selama ini diincar. Apalagi, di Paris ada Odetta, sahabat Bunga yang berdarah Prancis.

Di sana Bunga berkenalan dengan Pascal. Cowok itu aneh banget. Jarang ngomong, mukanya pucat, dan tampak seperti menyimpan sesuatu yang berat.

Petualangan Bunga dalam menimba ilmu, sangat berlika-liku. Dia mengalami sebuah kejadian tak terlupakan di Arc de Triomphe. Di bawah hujan deras, Bunga mengalami dua kejadian yang jauh berbeda. Tak disangka, kejadian itu membuatnya malah semakin mantap meniti masa depan.

Sekarang novel ini sudah agak susah didapat di toko buku.
